Answers to common TG-Downloader questions about installation, sign-in, account limits, points, group permissions, batch tasks and quiet monitors.

macOS says the developer cannot be verified. How do I open it?

Follow Install and First Launch and choose Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

It says the email or password is wrong.

Check the values or reset them through Forgot password?. A new account must verify its email first.

It says the email is not confirmed.

Open the verification email, check the spam folder if needed, and confirm the address.

It says the email domain is not supported.

Register with Gmail, Outlook, QQ, 163 or another mainstream provider.

Downloads ask me to select an account first.

Add a Telegram account under Accounts. See Add a Telegram Account.

I reached the account limit.

Your plan’s account count is exhausted. Delete an unused account or upgrade.

The group cannot be accessed, or shows No permission.

The active Telegram account has not joined the group. Join with that account or switch to an account that has.

My daily points are used up.

Free and expired accounts have a daily quota. It resets the next day, or you can upgrade.

Batch and Monitor say a Pro plan is required.

Both features require a trial or paid plan.

Another batch task is already running.

Only one batch task can run at a time. Cancel it in Downloads.

A monitor is configured but nothing downloads.

Check that the card says Monitoring, the group received a new file, and the file was not excluded by type or minimum size.

The monitor keeps saying No new messages. Is it stuck?

No. It checks every 60 seconds and logs a line when nothing is new.

I clicked the bin. Is the local file gone?

No. The bin removes only the record. More → Delete local file is required to delete the file.

What happens to unfinished downloads after a restart?

They are paused automatically and can be resumed from Downloads.

I moved to another computer and reached the device limit.

Sign out on the old computer or wait for a long-unused device to release its slot.

What happens to monitors when I sign out?

They pause automatically and resume after you sign back in.

Does reinstall or a new computer sync my download history?

No. History, accounts and settings are local; downloaded files do not move automatically.

Downloads are slow.

Adjust concurrency under Settings → Downloads, or configure a proxy under Network.

How do I report another problem?

Include the ERROR logs, Device ID, OS version and what you were doing. See Logs and Troubleshooting.
